Korea’s first Pompompurin Bakery Cafe is on B1 of Shinsegae Gangnam, inside Sweet Park. Shinsegaes July 2026 press presents it as an ongoing store, not a short popup. It opened July 28. Treat hours and menu stock as live.
What it is
Shinsegae Department Store runs the space. Pompompurin topped both the global and Korea lists in the 2026 Sanrio Character Grand Prix. The cafe marks the character’s 30th anniversary. Japan ran anniversary theme cafes in March in Tokyo and Osaka; this is the first bakery-cafe format in Korea.
The same Shinsegae releases list themed breads (chestnut milk bread; face custard, bottom red-bean, and beret chocolate buns), a muffin set, chocolate-banana madeleines, and signature drinks. About 100 merch SKUs sit beside the cafe: Japan imports plus Korea-only goods, including 30th-anniversary items. Basket displays and a moving bread rail set the room. Press also notes about 80 pyeong and seating. Check before you visit.

Hours and how to go
Shinsegae’s opening press does not print daily hours. Visitor and lifestyle guides commonly list weekdays 10:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m., and Friday–Sunday plus holidays 10:30 a.m.–8:30 p.m. Trip notes also cite last order around 7:30 p.m. Do not treat those as official. Check the Sweet Park board or the cafe’s SNS before you go.
No ticket listing was published. Seating can wait when full; takeout and the goods counter are usually open without a seat. Rules can change with the crowd. Check before you visit.
